Sleeve Sisters

Sleeve Sisters is hosting their 3rd Annual Fundraiser for cancer on SaturdayAugust 11, 2018. On behalf of Hirshburg Cancer Research Center, we are asking for your help. Our goal is $100,000 in hopes that an eventual care will be found that could possibly prevent future deaths from this desease, which moves very fast and causes the patient to suffer severely.  Pancreatic cancer is the third-ranked cause of cancer related death in the US amongst both men and women. Cancer has touched us all in some way; research for pancreatic cancer could hold the key to finding a cure for all cancers.

This fundraiser has been created in the name of Angelique's grandmother, Lou, who died young as a result of this horrible desease. Her grandmother was a courageous, outgoing woman who loved life and adored her family. She devoted herself to raising her father Adolph, aunt Melinda while loving her grandfather Crosby. During Lou's early years life was difficult for her living in east Oakland, but she overcame hardship and provided a wonderful home for them in Fremont, where she became acquainted with the neighborhood and was often greeted in public.

Angelique states,"My grandmother was a brave women and did not say much about her pain, but we could see the pain in her face and hear the pain in her breathing and voice. She did not want any of her family to worry, and watching her condition decline was hard.  My grandmother is and always will be the most precious person in my heart. Her absence is notice by many when entering the home, but her spiritual presence is always there. None of our family wish this on any other family, and pray this fund will help families in the future."

We are raising money to help fight pancreatic cancer!  Please support our fundraising efforts by making a donation today.

Thank you for joining me in the fight against pancreatic cancer!
