We will be riding in place to move charity forward at the Tour de Pier! Our team, TEAM SCOTT, is raising funds to help the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for cancer. 

Please consider contributing towards our efforts today. My brother, Scott, rode for Team Kory since the first year of Tour de Pier, 14 years ago. In 2017, however, Scott was diagnosed with the same cancer that Kory had, glioblastoma, so we rode for him as Team Scott and ever since. My brother was only 40 years old. We were 100% devastated.

A few years later, we renamed our team Team Scott + Patty to rally for my girlfriend who beat breast cancer in 2020. In 2024, we rode for Tatiana Mateus August and last year we rode for Matt Anderson. This year I'm riding for all of us who live with grief and to all of you who light me up when I feel darkest - this ones for YOU.

It's a day that reminds me of Scott's generous spirit, his love for life and the importance of community. Together we honor that spirit and his everyday advice to students leaving the classroom: Now go be good humans.
