In Memory of Dikran Konialian
Dikran was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer four and a half years ago. After enduring punishing chemotherapy for his first occurrence, he declined the same intensive treatment when the cancer returned. He was given just three months to live without it. We were fortunate to be introduced to Agi Hirshberg, founder of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Agi connected Dikran with Dr. Bill Isacoff, whose targeted, gentler treatment gave him an additional three and a half years of quality life with very manageable side effects from the chemotherapy.
Our family is deeply grateful to Agi and the Hirshberg Foundation for their dedication to pancreatic cancer research and for the precious time they helped make possible. We hope the money raised will provide the blessing of time to other affected families.
