Barbara Jean Mizgala July 11, 1960 - December 20, 2017
Our mother was a beautiful, strong, fun-loving woman. She was born and raised in Central New York. She married her best friend, David Mizgala, on September 15, 1984, and they raised three wonderful kids together. Her family was her life. She loved being outside gardening, traveling, running races, cooking, and taking photos of everyone and everything.
Unfortunately, in February of 2017, she was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. Despite the difficult diagnosis, she enjoyed the last 10 months of her life to the fullest, especially finishing her last 5K race in September. She has been a fighter all of her life and battling this disease was no exception.
In December of 2017, she lost her battle with cancer very gracefully. We love and miss her and know she will always be with us, all we have to do is look to the stars.
