It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Marvin Edward Lopata who passed away on December 28, 2024. Born in Denver, CO in 1941, he was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather “Laid” and friend.
A real estate appraiser by profession, Marvin was instrumental in the formation of the City Of Calabasas and served as mayor during its early years. His lush backyard garden was his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife Judy, his children Aaron and Heidi (husband Ethan Rose), his three grandchildren and a loving extended family.
Donations in his name should be made to Hirshberg Foundation For Pancreatic Cancer Research.
