I’m riding in the Tour de Pier this year with several special people in my heart. In 2023, I lost my mother to cancer, and I am also riding to honor my husband’s grandmother and mother, whom I never had the chance to meet but whose legacy lives on in our family.

The Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary bikes to the Manhattan Beach Strand to raise funds for the MMO Hirshberg Foundation, Cancer Support Community South Bay, and the Uncle Kory Foundation. I’m riding so that fewer families have to experience the pain of loss and so that no one has to face this disease alone.
