I’m riding in the Tour de Pier in Manhattan Beach to help raise money for three incredible cancer charities: the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay, and the Uncle Kory Foundation.
Cancer is very personal to me. In 2017, at just 31 years old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m proud to ride as a survivor and in remembrance of two very special women: Shelly Karasony, who was not only my boss but like a second mom to me, and my second cousin Theresa Meyers, who was the definition of pure joy with her incredible smile and unforgettable laugh.
I’m also riding in honor of my Uncle Jon, who fought long and hard with brain cancer. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, and I’ll forever be his Jilly Willy Nilly Silly.
Their lives, strength, and spirit are a big part of why this ride means so much to me.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to support this cause. Every contribution—big or small—helps fund research, support families, and bring hope to those facing cancer. You’re also welcome to come cheer us on for a fun day at the beach as we ride, remember, and support those still fighting.
Thank you for helping make a difference.
