This year, as we prepare to take part in the 29th Annual L.A. Cancer Challenge, we have an incredible reason to celebrate.
The FDA recently approved a new treatment option for patients with advanced pancreatic cancer that nearly doubles survival time for these patients. This is HUGE!
What makes this breakthrough especially meaningful is how it began: with basic research that showed promise. That research was able to move forward because the researchers secured the funding needed to establish a lab. Without that critical early funding, this promising discovery might never have progressed to become an FDA-approved treatment.
This is exactly why the work of the Hirshberg Foundation is important. One of the Foundation’s primary goals is to provide Seed Grants to promising researchers, giving them the funding they need to establish their labs, generate critical early data, and position themselves to compete for larger government grants that can advance their research even further.
I can’t think of a better example of why we continue to support the Hirshberg Foundation year after year. The money we raise helps give promising research a chance to become tomorrow’s lifesaving treatments.
Please join me and the Carabet's Crew team on Sunday, October 25th, at UCLA as we walk together to support pancreatic cancer research and help create more breakthroughs like this one.
If you're unable to join me, please consider supporting our team with a donation by clicking on my link. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps move this important research forward.
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we can help turn promising discoveries into treatments —and hope into longer lives.
Thank you!!
