This is my 9th year participating in the LA Cancer Challenge at UCLA and raising funds for this cause is even more important to me! Last year my beautiful mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. While she does the hard part of chemo treatments I will do the fundraising. I will walk in honor of my mom and also for my dear friend and teammate Evelyn who thanks to the amazing doctors at UCLA survived and is now cancer FREE and for my friend Michael Dee who is also a pancreatic cancer survivor.
The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you'd like, you can join me for a day of costumes and fun, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
