Ok, you all know how much I love to ride!! Now I'm riding for a great cause...I'll be riding in place to move charity forward at the Tour de Pier! The Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary cycling bikes to the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for three outstanding cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation.
WHY am I riding THIS year? I've known too many people who have lost their battle with the dreaded "C" (Cancer). And some people really close to me are suffering & battling cancer now...in the trenches, real time. And that sucks.
This is my small way to make a difference in any way I can, blending my passion (riding) and service of others all looped into one event that collectively will help someone in need.
Would you please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today? No donation is too small, and I'd like to "10X" what I formally agreed to donate (so $1,500, not $150!) I know that together we can make a huge difference so that no one faces cancer alone. My thanks in advance, and your donation will help me know that my burning thighs on this stationary bike will not be in vain!!
Hugs and Best Wishes,
Susan Boettner
