On May 17 I'll be riding in the Tour de Pier! with hundreds of stationary cycling bikers at the Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. I'm riding as part of a team honoring my Aunt Barbara, who passed from pancreatic cancer in 2010.  We have fielded a team to raise money for pancreatic cancer research for over 10 years and in that time the strides made against this terrible disease have been truly impressive but there is so much more to do.
