As many of you may know, a year ago my family's world was turned upside down when my brother was diagnosed with brain cancer. Since then, we've been navigating a journey filled with fear, strength, resilience and hope.
Throughout this time, we've been incredibly grateful for access to world-class medical facilities and cutting edge clinical trials. These resources have been a critical part of my brother's treatment and have given us hope when we felt like none existed. The reality is, these programs exist because of people like you who support cancer research and patient services.
That's why I'll be riding in place to move charity forward at the Tour de Pier! The Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary cycling bikes to the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for three outstanding cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you'd like, you can join me for a day of fun at the beach, a great ride, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together we can make a huge difference so that no one faces cancer alone. Let's ride in place and move charity forward!
With love and gratitude,
Kate
