Dear Friends and Family,
2025 is off to quite a start—another year, yet the same heartbreaking reality. Too many people in my life continue to be impacted by cancer. The news feels relentless, touching so many around us.
This May, I’m riding in the Tour de Pier for the 12th year. Since its inception in 2013 in my beloved Manhattan Beach, this incredible event has raised over $13.3 million for cancer research and support, making a tangible difference in the fight against this disease.
Now in its 13th year, the Tour de Pier brings hundreds of participants together on the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to ride stationary bikes and raise funds for three phenomenal organizations:
• The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research
• The Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach
• The Uncle Kory Foundation
These organizations provide critical support to those battling cancer—including people I know personally.
Last year, our team, Team One Love, raised over $28,000, making us the 4th highest fundraising “family” of the entire event. Our team is made up of fighters, survivors, and those riding in honor of loved ones lost. Their courage, commitment, and energy are truly inspiring.
This year, I’m asking for your support once again. Every dollar you contribute makes a difference—no amount is too small. Your generosity fuels research, provides resources, and offers hope to those who need it most.
If there’s someone special you’d like me to ride in honor of, please let me know—I would be honored to dedicate my ride to them. Your dedications are a powerful motivation for me.
Together, we can ensure that no one faces cancer alone. Let’s keep the wheels turning and the spirit of giving alive!
Thank you for your continued support. I hope this message finds you well, and I’m sending you all my love and the biggest hugs.
With gratitude,
Huma
