We lost our daughter, Kalea, on September 1st, 2022, and our son, Noah, on December 16th, 2022, after more than 4 years of them both battling brain cancer.
We ride for them and to move charity forward at the Tour de Pier! The Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary cycling bikes to the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for three outstanding cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation for brain tumor research. We are so grateful that the Uncle Kory Foundation now funds the Fight Like the Averys grant (F.L.A.G.) which is given specifically to pediatric brain tumor research.
Please join our team or donate, and help fund brain tumor research in memory of our forever Super heroes, Kalea and Noah. Also support the Cancer Support Community South Bay, a safe place that offers free counseling, classes, and activities for families going through this journey. We continue to honor our children by advocating for better and safer treatments, and by living like our children did, with courage and kindness. Fight Like the Averys!
