Dear Loved Ones,
It's been a decade since I joined Team ONE LOVE, riding for cancer causes at Tour de Pier. I never imagined within that time, we'd be facing the 4th breast cancer diagnosis in my immediate family, and my second! Life is a wild ride, but I feel even more fortunate to be so closely linked to events like this!
This year, my story will be shared and honored during the opening ceremonies at the Tour de Pier 2025! It just so happens there will be a Hawaiian style opening, and I could not be more honored to do this with my ohana, both blood and our Team One Love family, at my favorite cancer-fighting benefit event!
I'm behind schedule getting this out there, and to be honest, I questioned whether or not I should fundraise at all. Loved ones have already been so generous to support me and my family through this new cancer chapter, but I realized fundraising isn't for me, but the entire cancer community! I hope that its significance is stronger than ever!!!
If you are far away, and can't ride in person, we'd be honored to have your support through donation. If you'd like to register to ride, please join us! I promise, either way, this event will energize, move, touch and inspire you. Please reach out if I can help!May we remember all those we've lost and celebrate those who are currently battling. Together we can make a huge difference so that no one faces cancer alone! THANK YOU!
One Love, Kelly
Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary cycling bikes to the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for three outstanding cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach and the Uncle Kory Foundation.
