In 2024, Suzanne was enjoying a deeply fulfilling retirement — traveling often with her husband of 38 years, Cam, and fully embracing her newest and most joyful role: Grandma to her 2-year-old grandson.
Unfortunately, in October of that year, our world shifted with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. While the news brought immense challenges, it also connected us to the extraordinary team at UCLA, whose compassionate, expert care — especially from Dr. Wainberg and the staff at UCLA Santa Monica — has been a lifeline.
We are walking in honor of my mom’s strength and resilience as she continues her fight, bolstered by the incredible support of her medical team and the broader UCLA community.
Through it all, her spirit remains unshakable—strong, loving, and devoted to what she cherishes most: her family. She continues to be inspired and driven by future travels, loves to chase down the next delicious meal and is always seeking out ways to love on others whether it's snuggling up with her grandson, making delicious feasts for her family or scheduling lunch dates to check up with her friends. We are so grateful for everyone that has surrounded us during this time.
We hope you join us in-person or afar as we walk in the 2025 LA Cancer Challenge at UCLA. We walk to increase awareness for Pancreatic Cancer treatment and prevention. We walk to raise funding for research and lifesaving care that we ourselves have received. And finally, we walk to celebrate our Mom–we are so proud of you and all you have accomplished this past year.
Love,
Cam, Jordan and Jenna
