I'm excited to walk again on October 26, as part of Team Lara's Little Birds, at the L.A. Cancer Challenge, which helps support the Hirshberg Foundation in seeking effective treatments for Pancreatic Cancer.
#1 - be hopeful, whether or not you donate. Millions of dollars in research under these programs have led to increased survival rates.

WHY this matters so much to me.
My stepdaughter & hiking partner Lara Dawn Meiojas was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2022. It was the honor of my life to spend lots of time with her during her last months. We talked a lot, & went on outings for doctor's appointments, food pick-ups, & shopping at the local farmer's market. The amount of wisdom & love she gave to me was a real gift.
Thanks to Lara's sister, Allison Michelle, I've learned that progress against PC is being made, and have been able to engage in that effort. Again, if you do nothing else, have hope & wish us well in our quest.
