Friends and Family,
As some of you may know, my late father, Sol Meller, passed away on November 30th, 2015 as a result of pancreatic cancer. While it is true that all cancers are awful, pancreatic cancer is among the deadliest due to the fact that it is so difficult to detect during its early stages. Pancreatic cancer causes few symptoms and when they emerge, it’s often when the cancer is no longer curable through any treatments. This was the case with my father - once he was diagnosed and although he fought like hell, it was too late. Therefore, more research into the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of pancreatic cancer is imperative if we want to save more lives from ending prematurely due to this devastating disease.
This October 26, 2025, the #FeldmarFamily will be participating in one of SoCal's largest fundraising events, the LA Cancer Challenge Walk/Run. As we do each year, we'll be walking the 5km route with others at UCLA's Westwood campus. Participation in this special event benefits pancreatic cancer research and I'd be honored if you'd support us. For months in advance, we raise awareness, rally our communities and fundraise for a cure. Then, on event day with our hearts full of love, energized and prepared with purpose we walk for research, racing toward a cure.
You can make a difference by signing up to join Team Sol Meller, making a donation, and encouraging friends and family to participate in the virtual event. Our goal is to raise more than last year (and last year our team was among the top 5 in fund raising!) toward pancreatic cancer research.
