It's been five years since my father Norm lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. Through time the good memories have replaced the memories of his fight to survive. Unfortunately, many families are experiencing that battle now. That's why on October 26th I'll be taking part in the Hirshberg Foundation's 28th Annual L.A.. Cancer Challenge 5k walk/run.
Due to The Hirshberg Foundation's dedication to advancing pancreatic cancer research and providing resources and support to patients and their families, researchers are helping to extend the life expectancy of those diagnosed. However, in order to continue on the path to finding long term treatments and hopefully a cure, we need to help raise funds to advance these studies. And due to many research grants being eliminated our support is more important than ever.
Please join me and the Carabet's Crew team on Sunday, October 26th at UCLA as we walk to support the cause. If you're unable to join me, please consider donating by clicking on the link below.
Thank you very much for your support.
Sincerely,
Leslie Nelson
