Marathoning for Mom
On September 27, 2017, my mom died of pancreatic cancer. Her cancer was so unexpected, I can't quite describe how shocked we were at her diagnosis.
It has been over seven years since her death and the survival rate for pancreatic cancer is still extraordinarily low -- but just recently it increased by one percentage point to 13%! This is the second year in a row there has been an increase in the five year survival rate. It means your donations are helping!! We can find a cure!!!
On March 16, 2025 I will be running in the LA Marathon as a part of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research's Training Team. I have committed to raise at least $1,500, but I'd love to raise so much more.
No one should have to suffer like my mom did. I hope you will come along on this journey with me and, if you can, donate in honor of my mom and for the benefit of everyone who is touched by this disease. Every dollar is a dollar closer to a cure.
