I almost died about 30yrs ago. I was in the hospital for 4 months, but didn’t die. I thought 'there must be a reason that I lived'. Perhaps it was a wake-up call for me to do more important things… to do more to help others. It is relatively easy to write a check to a charity, but the Tour de Pier is a charity event in which people join together to support cancer-related charities, and then vigorously race on spin bikes outdoors at the annual Tour de Pier in Manhattan Beach. This year’s event is this Sunday morning.

I’ve already donated, and got a bike with a team. I’m now asking friends like you to please join me in donating to the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Research will be key to finding the cure. I support that, & will you? My goal is to raise $1,000 from all of us. I humbly ask you to join me and donate a bit to this charity today or tomorrow, Saturday. I can reach that target if you please help me out.
