Raising funds for my ride!
I, like most of you, have had very close family and friends experience cancer. Some are currently facing incredibly tough diagnoses and treatments. I've always felt quite helpless when it comes to ways to support beyond positive thoughts, checking in, and emotionally supporting however I can. This May, I have the opportunity to move charity forward at the Tour de Pier. The Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary cycling bikes to the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for three outstanding cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation. The Uncle Kory Foundation is particularly meaningful to me as a close loved one of mine is currently battling brain cancer.
