Ride with Us!
We all know someone or have been personally impacted by Cancer. This is a very tough and emotional year for me as many of you know, I lost my beloved Mom, to breast cancer in January, 2024. I will be riding in place to help move cancer research forward at the Tour de Pier! The Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary cycling bikes to the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for three outstanding cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation.
Unfortunately after two years from initial diagnosis and treatment, the breast cancer metastasized and ultimately took my mom prematurely from our lives.
We also lost our dad, Tom Haley, to pancreatic cancer in 2011 and our step-dad, Dave Kanigel, to brain cancer (Glioblastoma) in 2010.
One of my best friends is an amazing 19+ year survivor of a more rare-pancreatic cancer, neuroendocrine islet-cell cancer.
The list of those impacted by cancer is endless.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you'd like, you can join me for a day of fun at the beach, a great ride, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together we can make a huge difference so that no one faces cancer alone. Let's ride in place and move charity forward!
Thanks for your consideration,
