Join me in honor of my mom, Sandy Heistand
On Sunday, May 19, 2024 I will be part of the JR286 family of bikes participating in the 12th annual Tour de Pier in Manhattan Beach.
This will be my 4th year riding and I am proud to be riding in honor of my mom, Sandy, who lost her battle to gallbladder cancer on April 16, 2023 after being diagnosed only 8 months earlier. Until her diagnosis, our family had never experienced the devastating impact of cancer. Since then, I am acutely aware of the importance of cancer awareness and community.
I am proud to be part of Tour de Pier, which is organized to raise funds for the following cancer charities: The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, The Uncle Kory Foundation and Cancer Support Community South Bay. Since 2013, Tour de Pier has raised more than $12 million for these cancer charities.
Please consider donating if you would like to make a contribution to help find a cure for pancreatic and other gastrointestinal cancers!
