We're back!
Hi everyone! It’s Pumpkin and Pancreas season! Welcome to yet another year of raising awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer. As many of you know, I lost two hugely important people in my life to this horrible condition. From the first year I knew of this event, I have managed to walk or run it, and have even been on committees to help make it happen. When I first started, the statistics were awful for those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. They are making improvements, and new treatments are being developed, but the statistics are still too bleak. We need to do more.
The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Please consider making a donation towards my fundraising efforts. If you’re so inclined, we would love to have you join us on the walk/run. It’s a beautiful event where we get to spend time remembering those we have lost, and celebrating and honoring those who are currently dealing with this disease. If you can’t join us or donate, please do learn more about pancreatic cancer. Know the symptoms, educate others, take care of your body, and do what you can to keep yourself and your loved ones as healthy as possible. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer. I thank you with all of my heart...and, as always, my pancreas!
