Help me take the LA Cancer Challenge!
My brother Randy is a doctor who, besides seeing patients, also does research in pancreatic cancer.
It was my brother's work that brought me to participate in the Hirshberg Foundation 5k several years ago. Originally, I was running/walking on behalf of my brother's patients. Now, I also walk on behalf of so many people who are currently battling or lost their fight to this disease -- this includes the legendary University of Washington college HOF coach at my alma mater, Don James who lost his battle 10 years ago. It also includes my friends and their families who have, or have watched, loved ones battle this disease.
So, I'm participating in the LA Cancer Challenge at UCLA! The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. My team, the Don James Dawg Pack is joining together to battle this disease. You can participate with our team wherever you are. We have the Los Angeles group walking at UCLA. However, you can participate in a virtual walk wherever you want. Our goal is to show our support in finding a cure for this horrible disease. Just be a part of the Don James Dawg Pack. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
