On March 17, 2024 I will be running in the LA Marathon as a part of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research's Team – the Hirshberg Training Team. I will be dedicating my very first marathon to my incredible mom (Michaela Bolivar). Four years ago, my mom lost her battle against pancreas cancer and have missed her every day since. She was truly an inspiration and also one of the reasons I started running at a young age. She was able to do a marathon in her lifetime and always encouraged me to do the same as she believed to never limit yourself of challenges. Although I wish she would be there by my side running with me, I know she will be there guiding me in spirit and smiling at me as I cross the finish line. 

We expect to log nearly 250 miles and I've committed to raise at least $1,000.

The statistics are grim, but with your help we have a chance to improve them. Pancreatic cancer is the #3 cancer killer in the United States amongst both men and women. Nine out of ten pancreatic cancer patients will die. The average life expectancy after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is just 3-6 months.
