On March 17, 2024 I will be running in the LA Marathon as a part of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research's Team – the Hirshberg Training Team. We expect to log nearly 250 miles and I've committed to raise at least $1,000.
The statistics are grim, but with your help we have a chance to improve them. Pancreatic cancer is the #3 cancer killer in the United States amongst both men and women. Nine out of ten pancreatic cancer patients will die. The average life expectancy after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is just 3-6 months. I would greatly appreciate your kind consideration by making a donation towards this goal.
By the time I run this marathon, this will be my 15th Marathon! The Los Angeles Marathon is super special to me because it was my very first marathon, and now will be my 7th LA Marathon and my 5th year consecutive running!
I have dear friends and colleges who have lost loved ones to Pancreatic Cancer (and other cancers). So, this cause, raising funds, matters to me!
