Carabet's Crew
Carabet's Crew and LA Tri Club are excited to once again team up to run, walk and have fun at the 25th Anniversary of the LA Cancer Challenge on October 23rd to raise awareness and hopefully find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer.
We are all touched in so many ways. As many of you know, the Carabet children, grandchildren, and several members of the LA Tri Club community have been impacted by Pancreatic Cancer in one way or another.
Did you know:
~ Pancreatic Cancer is currently the 3rd leading cause of cancer related death in the US after lung and colon cancers. The 5-year survival rate is just 11%.
~ 62,210 Americans will be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer this year.
~ More than 49,830 will die from the disease.
The Hirshberg Foundation raises money through healthy and fun outdoor activities. The activities are a great way for families to spend the day together while giving back to the community.
This year the LA Cancer Challenge will be on Sunday October 23rd at 7:30am on the UCLA Campus. You can run or walk the beautiful campus and if you want to really have fun, wear a costume!
So, bring yourselves, family and friends to join Carabet's Crew and the LA Tri Club team (we always have a great group) and/or make a donation to help find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer. (No amount is too small). Let's remember those we have lost and celebrate those who are currently battling the disease.
Together we can make a difference. Thanks for giving back.
See you on the 23rd!
Go Purple!
