Join Us at UCLA to Support Pancreatic Cancer Research

LACC 2023

#CrushCancer

Our team #CrushCancer is so excited to be participating in the LA Cancer Challenge the morning of Sunday, October 22nd at UCLA! This cause is very personal for me and my family. I lost my wonderful father, John McGee in December 2015, just five months after he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This disease is particularly cruel because by the time a patient has symptoms, the disease has generally already progressed to an advanced stage.

The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Together, wherever we are, we can make a huge difference in the fight to cure pancreatic cancer.

Unfortunately, my little star swimmer has a meet on October 22nd, so our immediate family will be participating in the LACC virtually.  But we'd love for you to join our team (either in-person at UCLA or virtually from wherever you are!) for a day of camaraderie, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. If you'd like to support us, please consider contributing towards our fundraising efforts. No amount is too small! Together we can make a difference.

With Gratitude,

Deb Carson
