HUSKIES AND FRIENDS!

It’s hard to believe, but this October, it will be a decade since Husky Nation lost our beloved coach Don James to pancreatic cancer.  A few years after his passing, a few Huskies and friends participated in our first walk  at the LA Cancer Challenge to remember Coach James and to support research to eradicate this deadly disease.  Over the next several years, the Don James Dawg Pack has grown and last year we were the largest team between our amazing members who came out to UCLA and our wonderful national and international members who walked, ran or biked wherever they were.  Don James Dawg Pack wants to be one of the largest teams again at the LA Cancer Challenge, so I hope you sign up.    

If you are one of the first 100 participants on the team to sign up by September 25, 2023, you will receive  a specially-made t-shirt for the Don James Dawg Pack (along with any other swag that you get from the race organizers).    

If you can join us on October 22, 2023 at UCLA, it’s a Halloween-themed event and you and the kiddos can dress up for the costume parade and contest or the kids can check out the Candy Land Kids Zone. 

It’s truly a great experience for everyone and I am hoping that whether you are near or far, you will join the team with the goal of one day finding a cure for pancreatic cancer!
