One of my neighbors who moved out of my neighborhood, told me that he would be running in memory of Ron at the Hirshberg Los Angeles Cancer Challenge    (LACC), wearing Ron Mayo name on his back. I soon learned about this organization, and have been involved ever since. 

  Since 2010, I'm participating, for my 11th event, this Sunday, the 23rd of October. For the last 2 years, due to the pandemic, our team has walked the event at Los Cerritos park. This year, Dana and her team are walking UCLA, and the other part of the team, once again at Los Cerritos park. 

My purpose in participating in this fund raising walk is to bring honor to my late husband, and since his passing, to my late sister, Margie. Both passed because of this terrible disease!
