Help Me Raise Funds for Cancer Research!
This March, I will be celebrating another year of life by running the Los Angeles Half Marathon and raising funds for Cancer Research.
I am part of the Hirshberg Foundation Training Team for Pancreatic Research. Hirshberg is a non-profit that raises funds to help find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer.
Pancreatic Cancer Research, as with all Cancer Research, can unlock clues to finding Cures, Treatments and Diagnosis for ALL Cancer.
An insidious disease, Pancreatic cancer is the #3 killer in the US amongst both men and women. Nine out of ten pancreatic cancer patients will die, averaging a life expectancy of just 3-6 months after diagnosis. I was inspired to join this group last fall when we lost two beloved icons to this disease: Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Alex Trebek.
In addition to completing my 13.1-mile race, I have also committed to raising $2,000 to honor my own remarkable friend, Alexis Vergara who also died from this cancer in his early thirties and left behind a wife and two young daughters.
Please join me in making a difference with a tax-deductible donation toward these fundraising efforts.
Thank you - your generous support will help make a difference in the Foundation’s endeavors!
