Please support me in the LA Cancer Challenge!
F%*& Cancer.
Cancer feels like this thing that happens to other people, or it's a plot for a heartbreaking Greys Anatomy episode, it's not something that could ever happen to my father. Seeing my dad, the artist, the cubs fan, the star trek aficionado, the irishman with the gift of gab, seeing his body hurt him and test his spirit, has been awful and surreal. The fact that he has been fighting the cancer, and fighting for life has made me so proud and grateful. I figure I can run a few Ks in honor of him, and hopefully raise a few bucks for research on this terrible disease along the way.
So, I'm participating in the LA Cancer Challenge! The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you'd like, you can join me, in-person or virtually, for a day of costumes and fun, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together, regardless of where we are, we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
