Welcome to my Personal Page
On November 7, 2021 I will be running in the LA Marathon as a part of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research's Team – the Hirshberg Training Team. We expect to log nearly 250 miles and I've committed to raise at least $1,000 (but of course shooting for more).
At the beginning of 2020, I told myself that I was going to run a 5k, 10k, half and full marathon within a year. My plan was for each of them to support a cause that is close to my heart. In February of 2020, I began that goal by running a 5k focusing on ending pancreatic cancer in honor of my grandma who had passed away September 8, 2019. Covid definitely put a kink into some of the timing but the universe has brought everything back on track. I feel it’s only fitting to come full circle for the full marathon and once again run in her honor!
The statistics are grim, but with your help we have a chance to improve them. Pancreatic cancer is the #3 cancer killer in the United States amongst both men and women. Nine out of ten pancreatic cancer patients will die. The average life expectancy after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is just 3-6 months. I would greatly appreciate your kind consideration by making a donation towards this goal.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
