Thank you for supporting our efforts to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Pancreatic Cancer. This year’s LA Cancer Challenge will be virtual, rather than at UCLA, because of COVID-19 restrictions. Even though we may not be together in person, we would LOVE to have you as a virtual participant on team #CrushCancer!
I lost my wonderful Dad, John McGee, in December 2015, just five months after he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This disease is particularly cruel because, by the time a patient has symptoms, the disease has generally already progressed to an advanced stage. Money raised via the LA Cancer Challenge funds research, grants and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and ultimately find an early detection method and a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Please join us in remembering those we’ve lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Even if our team can't be physically together for this year's race, please feel free to choose a nearby park or walking path, use a treadmill or stay in your neighborhood to stroll, speed-walk or jog your own 5K course.
If you'd prefer to donate rather than join our virtually, we absolutely appreciate your support! Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer. Cheers to crushing cancer!
