Help me take the LA Cancer Challenge!
This year, I'm participating in the LA Cancer Challenge virtually! The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you'd like, you can join me virtually in remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
In 2013 my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was given 3 weeks to live and made it to 3 years. If you knew her, she was such an amazing and funny individual. It didn't matter who you were, she started conversations just because she wanted to get to know who you were. Throughout the duration of this time she fought hard to give us the little time that she had left. She passed away on October 14th, 2016. In November of 2019 I lost my godfather (my mom's brother) to pancreatic cancer as well. He was someone who always told the best stories with so much passion that you would never forget them! He had a loving heart to match his great personality. I have created a team that represents my mom, the "Speedy Turtles" so if you would like to join me in a virtual 5K it would mean the world to me! From the bottom of my heart I thank you and want you to know that I truly love you so much for joining me.
