Please Support Me in the LA Cancer Challenge!
I’m participating in the LA Cancer Challenge! The LACC allows the Hirshberg Foundation to fund pancreatic cancer research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately, find a cure.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you’d like, you can join me virtually for a day of costumes and fun, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together, regardless of where we are, we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
My mom, Donna, was an incredible person. She was a talented singer, painter, and entrepreneur. She was a dedicated runner who loved to ski and travel the world. My mom was both an unstoppable force to be reckoned with, and the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. She was a devoted wife to our dad for 52 years and a loving, affectionate mom to my sister and me. One of the greatest joys of her life was being “BB” to her five adoring grandchildren.
She beat cancer twice... once when she was 31 and again at 60. However, at the age of 73, she succumbed to pancreatic cancer. But, boy did she fight like hell!
We miss her dazzling smile, her extraordinary optimism, and her bawdy sense of humor. But what we miss most of all is the way she loved each of us with her whole heart.
It is in her honor that we are joining the fight against pancreatic cancer.
