Welcome to my Personal Page
On March 8, 2020 I will be running my very first marathon in honor of my amazing mom, although, I much rather have her running by my side.
She has always been an inspiration to me, going above and beyond in all that she does. She has completed countless half marathons and a handful of full marathons, the biggest being the New York marathon. It was a long-time dream of hers to run in the New York Marathon and no injury was going to keep her from making it happen. The doctor's suggestions of taking it easy or her lack of training from an unexplainable pain weren't going to stop her. Watching my mom cross the finish line in Central Park in tears from pure happiness mixed with pain and relief, was breathtaking. There are no words to express how proud I was of her nor how proud I am of her now.
Her fighting spirit has always been strong, but it wasn't until August that it was truly put to the test. The diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer came as a complete shock. But it is the reality we must face.
My mom is strong! Marathoners make up less than 1% of the American population.
My mom is a fighter and has her army behind her! Pancreatic cancer is the #3 cancer killer in the United States amongst both men and women.
I would greatly appreciate your kind consideration by making a donation toward my goal of raising at least $1,000. I can endure 26.2 miles but I need your help to truly make a difference. Together we can improve the statistics of Pancreatic cancer.
