Welcome to my Personal Page
In 2015, my friend Doug Atkin convinced me to run the LA Marathon for the Hirshberg Foundation; I also ran their annual Hallowen race for several years. I was always impressed by their dedication to fighting Pancreatic Cancer.
This year, unfortunately, this fight also became personal. The amazing lady I called my "American Mom" was taken from us last July by that terrible disease .
On March 8, 2020 I will be running in the LA Marathon as a part of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research's Training Team. I expect to log nearly 250 miles and I've committed to raise at least $1,000. The statistics are grim, but with your help we have a chance to improve them. Pancreatic cancer is the #3 cancer killer in the United States amongst both men and women. Nine out of ten pancreatic cancer patients will die. The average life expectancy after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is just 3-6 months. I would greatly appreciate your kind consideration by making a donation towards this goal.
Please make a donation today and help me reach my fundraising goal! You can also cheer me along the 26.2 mile course. My bib will read "I run for Renee"
