My 5 Hour Ride is For Thom & Mom
On May 19, I will be riding the stationary bike for 5 hours with hundreds of cyclists on the Strand overlooking the Manhattan Beach Pier in a unique fundraising event called the Tour de Pier.
Since 2013, Tour de Pier has raised more than $6.2 million for cancer charities and I've been lucky enough to participate in them all. This epic event that has already raised $1.2 million this year that will help support the three charities involved: the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Uncle Kory Foundation and the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach. I'm betting we hit $1.5mm before it's all over.
I hope you will consider supporting me for an unforgettable day that I've dedicated to the memory of my friend Thom Tetreault and my mom. We lost Thom to pancreatic cancer in 2006 and it forced me to re-examine my life and turn it around for good. When I lost my Mom in 2014, it reaffirmed that decision and that every day truly is a gift.
I'm grateful to be a part of this event and if you would like to support me on this incredible day you can do so here.
Peace, happiness, health and great music to you all!
