LA Cancer Challenge 2019

This year, Team Granny Anny and Team Girish are joining forces to form “Team GG.” Both succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 2019, Girish at the age of 45 after a herculean battle, and Granny Anny at 100 with graceful resignation. Please rekindle their memories by contributing to the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. The passings of Girish and of Granny Anny remind us that pancreatic cancer strikes indiscriminately – it is blind to gender, race, religion, culture, age and economic status.

While some progress has been made, it obviously wasn’t enough to save their lives. We need your help in eradicating this killer once and for all. Not only would we love for you to contribute to the Hirschberg Foundation, but we also would like you to join us for the 5k walk/run on October 20th at UCLA. Your presence will earn you a free “Team GG” t-shirt. We promise that you will have a great time! Wear a Halloween costume if you like, bring the kids. bring the grandkids, bring friends and relatives! The more of us we are, the stronger we shall become!

If you are so inclined, please sign up to do some fund raising of your own. Hirshberg makes it very easy. Even the smallest of contributions may be able to save lives in the future.

See attached for the link to the website. When you make your contribution, please be sure that it is made in honor of Team GG; otherwise, we have no way of showing our appreciation.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

See you there!

Pragati and Brad (co-captains)
