LA Cancer Challenge 2019

Don James Gang

Purple Reign meets the Purple Ribbon....

The DON JAMES GANG is so excited to once again be participating in the LA Cancer Challenge at UCLA. Our beloved Coach Don James died on October 20, 2013 from complications relating to pancreatic cancer. On the anniversary of the Dawgfather's passing, UW Huskies and friends will honor and remember our amazing coach by walking or running to beat this horrible disease.

This is a great family event. Since it is just before Halloween, people dress up in costumes. It has also a very cool raffle with lots of items. Most important though, we will honor the memories of Don James and others that we have lost their battle with pancreatic cancer and we will celebrate those who are currently battling it.

At last year's event, KTLA News interviewed team member, Troy Rallings, on the morning news. Troy did a fantastic job describing how much Coach James meant to the UW and couldn't say it better when he said he loved seeing so much purple at UCLA. So help us once again make UCLA purple ... with UW purple!!!!

Also, for those of you who can, please fundraise. The fundraising you do helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.

If you'd like to support us but can't make it (we will miss you), please consider contributing towards our fundraising efforts. No amount is too small!

Hope to see you on October 20! GO DAWGS!!!!!!!
