Welcome to My Personal Page
On October 28, 2008, I lost my beloved Dad to pancreatic cancer. It was the most profound experience of my life. His diagnosis was completely unexpected and the three months between learning of his diagnosis and his death were indescribably difficult.
Upon his passing, my family and I knew that we wanted to find a special way to keep Dad's memory alive and at the same time support cancer research. We were very happy to cross paths with the Hirshberg Foundation and we signed up for the LA Cancer Challenge. The outpouring of love we felt after his passing continued at the walk and it has now become an annual tradition that we all look forward to.
This year Chris and I will be participating in the 2016 LA Cancer Challenge 5K Run along with our three children. Our little ones are also very excited to participate in the Kids Can Cure Fun Run! When we run, we will honor our Dad/"Abuelito (grandpa) in Heaven" and the special memories of him we hold close to our hearts.
I intend to raise $1,500 to help support the doctors and scientists in their mission to find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Currently, pancreatic cancer is the fourth-ranked cause of cancer related death in the US amongst both men and women. Despite this, the federal government invests less money in pancreatic cancer than in any other leading cancer. I hope you will consider making a donation to sponsor me and my family as we help support the Hirshberg Foundation's research efforts. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be mailed to you.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
