Help me take the LA Cancer Challenge!
I RUN FOR HER!
My mother was a loving woman. She became everyone's "Mother" when they met her, Mama Rosa. But in 2009, she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. And in less than a month, we lost her. A major loss to all that new her.
Pancreatic Cancer is a deadly disease in which 74% of all patients die within the first year of diagnosis. It is the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US and will most likely become the 2nd by 2020. Not much is know of this horrible disease, which is why any amount will help to continue researching for a cure.
I'm participating in the LA Cancer Challenge at UCLA! The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you'd like, you can join me for a day of costumes and fun, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
