Team Sue, Bob and Evy "Walking Warriors"

Our team is so excited to be participating in the LA Cancer Challenge at UCLA. The LACC helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.

Our original team "Walkers For Knockers" will be participating for the fourth year in September to raise money for Avon39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer. Two years ago this August, one of our own team members Evelyn Dineen was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Thanks to UCLA and their amazing group of doctors, she has survived this horrific disease and is cancer free. We also have another team member Andree, who's father Bob was just recently diagnosed and he is currently battling pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, Sue Banks who was a very dear friend to one of our team members Demarie, after a heartfelt battle succumbed to pancreatic cancer on September 23, 2016. We walk in honor and memory of these three who have touched so many lives and are the reason we decided to form our Team Sue, Bob and Evy "Walking Warriors".

We'd love for you to join our team for a day of costumes and fun, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. If you'd like to support us but can't make it (we will miss you), please consider contributing towards our fundraising efforts. No amount is too small! Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
