14th Annual Game Day
A note from Julie's daughter, Amy:
This year, Julie Durmaskin--much -loved mother, sister, wife, and friend, would have turned 64. It has been 14 years since she lost her four-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
In many ways, this seems like a lifetime ago. In the last 14 years, people continued to celebrate birthdays, mourn losses, and to find new ways to support one another.
However, during that time, pancreatic cancer hasn't slowed down, and the absence of those we love from cancer in these moments of joy is a somber reminder that we are still working to find cures and advancements to help everyone battling cancer to have more time with the ones they love.
This year, we are choosing to come together VIRTUALLY on Saturday, June 8th and celebrate with the ones we do have and to raise money for an important cause: finding a cure for pancreatic cancer. Instead of hosting an in-person game day, this year, we will be hosting our Julie Durmaskin Memorial game day virtually. This means that people worldwide will be able to log on, play games, share memories, and raise money for a cure.
We hope you can join us for this virtual event and help us celebrate Julie's beautiful life and to help fund a cure for Pancreatic Cancer!
Thank you for your continuous love and support. You are all the family that carries the spark that keeps my mom's memory alive.
With much love and gratitude,
Amy and Debbie
