Event Details
The LA Cancer Challenge is a 5K Walk/Run on the beautiful campus of UCLA. One of LA’s most beloved and long-standing Halloween events, it benefits the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

The Fit Family Expo transforms the LACC into much more than a walk/run; it becomes an outdoor extravaganza of activities and entertainment for the entire family! From our whimsical Candyland Kids Zone to Health and Fitness Vendors, the expo offers music, entertainment, Halloween festivities, refreshments and more. The Fit Family Expo has activities for all ages, encouraging attendees to check out local and national businesses, sign up for our costume contests, or win big at our large raffle and auction tent. By Car: Northbound (from the South Bay): Take Interstate 405 (San Diego Freeway) north, and exit at Sunset Blvd. Turn right on Sunset. Turn right onto Westwood Plaza and, and proceed down to the Structure 4 entrance.
Southbound (from the Valley): Take Interstate 405 (San Diego Freeway) south, and exit at Sunset Boulevard. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp and turn east (left) onto Sunset. Turn south (right) onto Westwood Plaza, and proceed down to the Structure 4 entrance.
By Ride Share: If you choose to come via taxi, Uber or Lyft, UCLA has designated Ride-Hailing Pick Up Zones. Zone 4 or 10 is closest to our event. You can view the complete list.
Parking: Parking is available in Lot 4. Self-service pay stations are located in the lot and the cost ranges from $4 - $12 for 1 hour 3 hours or $16 all day. To save time on event morning, pre-purchase your Lot 4 parking pass on the BruinEpermit website. Search LA Cancer Challenge, select Lot 4, then add your vehicle and payment details.
Prizes and Incentives
Each registered participant can earn incentives by fundraising for a cure. The levels are cumulative, so the more you raise, the more you earn!
Course Map
Starting in Wilson Plaza and ending outside Annenberg Stadium, you'll pass iconic campus spots including the Bruin Bear and John Wooden Statue.
